Metering II explores advanced application of concepts\, how to apply theory in practice and understand system design elements and equipment. \nUpon successful completion of the Program\, including a final exam\, students are awarded a Certificate of Completion. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Click here to download the detailed agenda.\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				WHO SHOULD ATTEND\nThis course is designed for: \n\nIntermediate or transitioning Meter Technicians\nLineworkers\nSupervisors or Managers transitioning from other departments \n\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES\nUpon completion of the program\, participants will be able to successfully: \n\nDemonstrate a foundational knowledge of how electricity is measured through meters.\nPractice advanced applications of meter installations and measurements.\nApply advanced programming\, testing and design concepts to real-world applications.\nDevelop a system design that demonstrates a deep understanding of the system’s configuration.\nRecognize applicable standards and specifications such as the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).\nDemonstrate an understanding of meter multipliers.\nTest the impacts of metering on billing and revenue protection.\n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				COURSE PREREQUISITES\nStudents are expected to have completed NEPPA’s Basic Electricity and Mathematics for Utility Operations and Metering I programs\, and/or demonstrate a solid understanding of basic electricity concepts\, theory and mathematics through prequalification testing. \nTESTING\nThis Program includes a Final Exam to demonstrate comprehension of the material (25 Questions). \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS *\nIn addition to the student binder with module printouts\, students are provided with the following supplemental materials: \n\nProgram T-Shirt\nCalculator\nMeter Socket Checks Handbook\nPocket Guide to Watthour Meters\n\n* Materials will be provided for participants who have not already received equipment in other programs. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				COURSE DATES & LOCATION\nMetering II will be held November 7 – 9\, 2023 in-person at NEPPA’s Training Center: \nNEPPA Training Center200 New Estate RoadLittleton\, MA 01460 \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				REGISTRATION\nRegistration fees include supplemental materials\, a program t-shirt\, printed student materials and lunch each day. \nMembers: $1\,390 \nNon-Members: $2\,160 \nTo register\, please click the button below and complete your registration online. \n\n			\n				REGISTER NOW\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Click here to download the detailed agenda.\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				INSTRUCTOR\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Tim Richardson\n					P.E\, Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Tim Richardson joined NEPPA in September of 2019 and has been an asset to the training team. Tim has a long history working in the electric utility industry\, Belmont Municipal Light Department from 1995 – 2007.  There he served in many management capacity including General Manager. \nMost recently\, Tim has worked as Principal of Fundy Power Services\, LLC. and at Consulting Engineers Group prior to that.  Tim brings a wealth of both technical and safety expertise to the organization and applies his expertise of both in a n easy-to-understand and easy-to-learn approach. \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				LODGING\nLodging is not included in your registration fees and must be arranged directly with the hotel.
