His wife Jeanne was working\, trying to wrap up her week when a co-worker told her that there had been an accident and Gary was going to the hospital. What she didn’t know was Gary took 12\,500 volts\, 200 amps to his right ear and then to the back of his head. In a split second their lives drastically changed. That was over 25 years and roughly 70 surgeries ago. Now\, Gary and Jeanne share a message that focuses on the impact of the choices he made. Through their story\, you will see how a lack of focus can change everything. They have shared their story with employers and employees all over Canada and the US\, and their message is simple. SUMMARY:What's Next? Wood Pole Preservatives Informational Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, Holyoke Gas & Electric Department negotiates a wood poles contract on behalf of NEPPA members and would like to get a consensus from members to standardize wood pole treatments for next year’s bid. \n As you probably know\, the Pentachlorophenol wood preservative will no longer be available for use in treating wood poles after this year. This virtual session is an opportunity to discuss available treatment options including the pros/cons of each from two major wood pole suppliers\, Stella Jones and Koppers. \n Following the session\, NEPPA will initiate a survey to members to measure consensus for a standard treatment option based on the information provided. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n AGENDA\nAgenda details are subject to change \n9:00 am Introduction \nPresentation and Q&Aby Tom Greene\, Stella Jones \n10:00 am \nPresentation and Q&Aby Michelle Griffin\, Koppers \n10:45 am Members Only: Q&A and Discussion \n11:00 am Adjourn \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTRATION\nParticipation in this informational seminar is free\, however advance registration is required.
