DESCRIPTION:2025 Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise \nJune 25\, 2025 (8:00 am – 3:00 pm)NEPPA Training Center\, 200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460\nNEPPA’s Annual Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise will be held Wednesday\, June 25th beginning at 8:00 am. This one-day workshop will allow utility representatives the opportunity to ‘game play’ in a realistic disaster scenario. Attendees will learn how national and local NEPPA Mutual Aid programs operate and participate in discussion about how these programs can be improved.  \nIn addition\, Peter Rossi\, Chief Operating Officer and Incident Commander for Vermont Electric Cooperative will be discussing the co-op’s use of drones for asset inspection/maintenance and damage assessment during storm events. Mike took over the helm of NEPPA in May 2022 after a 40 year utility career that started inside a #6 fuel oil generation plant at Philadelphia Electric. \nPrior to his role at NEPPA\, Mike was the Energy & Technical Programs Manager for the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) in Hughesville\, Maryland\, and his main responsibility was the oversight of the Solar Interconnection and Electric Vehicle programs. \nBefore his stint at SMECO\, Mr. Hyland served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering Services at the American Public Power Association (APPA) in Washington DC for 24 years. In that position\, he was responsible for all the engineering\, safety\, cyber security\, reliability\, system planning\, mutual aid and operations for the associations 2000+ municipal utilities operating in the United States. \nMike is a Professional Engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia\, is co-inventor on three US Patents\, and now resides in Nashua\, NH. Mike has been married to his wife Colleen for over 33 years. Together they have raised three engineering children: Reid\, Erik and Jodie. \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				 \n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Registration \nRegistration fees include coffee/tea and light continental breakfast as well as lunch.
