SUMMARY:Metering I Program
DESCRIPTION:NEPPA’s Metering I Program will be held March 26 – 27\, 2024 at the NEPPA Training Center (200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460). \nNEPPA’s Metering I Program is designed to be an introduction to the fundamentals of meter equipment and safety. The Program will introduce how meters are used as an integral part of the distribution system and why their accurate and efficient readings are critical to a utility’s success. \n			\n				MORE COURSE DETAILS\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Who Should Attend\nMetering I is designed for: \n\nNew or Transitioning Meter Technicians\nLineworkers\nSupervisors or Managers transitioning from other departments\n\nLearning Objectives \n\nDemonstrate a foundational/introductory knowledge of meter use\, demand and digital vs. analog meters.\nPractice hands-on safe installation and removal of a meter\nCalculate and demonstrate the safe measurement of electricity\nRecognize meter theft\, revenue protection controls\, and how to safely install service and conduct inspections.\nDemonstrate a basic understanding of net metering\, demand metering and bi-directional metering.\nAccurately identify faulty equipment and troubleshoot solutions\n\nCLICK HERE TO VIEW DETAILED AGENDA\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				 Registration \nRegistration fees includes supplemental materials above\, as well as\, coffee and lunch each day.
