SUMMARY:2024 Substation II Program - Session II
DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of Substation I\, NEPPA is pleased to offer the Substation II Program which is held in 4-day sessions 4 times a year. Substation II expands on Substation I and moves into protection and controls\, understanding operations\, schematics\, and diagrams\, testing and test results interpretation of substation equipment.  Upon successful completion of the Program\, students are awarded a Certificate of Completion. \nIn addition to in-class lecture\, the Substation II Program incorporates hands-on application of concepts and testing\, building\, and manipulating a relay panel\, and weekly testing including a final exam to demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of the course content. Each Friday of each session will be a half-day conducted virtually for review and testing. \n			\n				MORE COURSE INFORMATION\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				SESSION DATES & HOURS\nClasses are held Tuesday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm; and Fridays 8:00 am – 11:00 am. \nEach Friday of the session will consist of a virtual review of the week’s material and online testing. Students should plan to attend classes in-person at the Training Center Tuesday – Thursday\, and join the session(s) remotely on Friday. \nDates are subject to change however advance notice will be provided\, as needed. \nSession II: Tuesday\, October 1 – Friday\, October 4\, 2024 \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				WHO SHOULD ATTEND\nThis course is designed for \n\nLineworkers or operations employees\nSubstation Technicians\nEmployees or Supervisors transitioning from other departments\nEngineers\nConstruction Supervisors\nProject Managers\n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				CLICK HERE TO VIEW DETAILED AGENDA\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				COURSE PREREQUISITES\nIn order to be successful in the Substation II Program\, students are expected to complete the Substation I program and participate in the new Basic Electricity and Mathematics for Utility Operations course (which is day one of Substation I). \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				REGISTRATION\nRegistration fees include coffee and lunch each day.
