
Description
The Town of Wallingford Electric Division seeks a strong manager and leader to direct all aspects of a municipal-owned electric utility located 10 miles from New Haven, CT. The electric utility serves 25,000 customers in a 50+ square mile distribution area with a peak demand of 130 MW and an excellent rate structure. This executive-level position involves responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating all of the activities necessary for the efficient operation of the utility. Applicants should possess 12 years of progressively responsible experience in the electric utility field including at least 5 years in a management position, plus a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in electrical, mechanical, civil, or environmental engineering, business or public administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and qualifying experience substituting on a year-for-year basis. Salary: $137,774 to $176,287 annually, plus an excellent fringe benefits package that includes medical insurance, pension plan, paid sick and vacation time.
