Lead Administrative Clerk

The Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lead Administrative Clerk.
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, direct the work of the Office Clerks and perform Office Clerk functions as required. The Lead Clerk trains and supports the Office Clerks and designates the employee who provides complete customer support to achieve identification and resolution of all types of customer problems. Functions also include performing clerical, administrative support duties (i.e., filing, typing, sorting, reception, billing, data entry, order, application, questions, etc.)
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Administrative Clerk in a utility office environment and some supervisory experience. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have some background in accounting and business. Must be proficient in all aspects of the Office Clerk position. Must possess excellent command of the English language with strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and typing ability. Strong interpersonal organizational and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to follow-up until a customer problem is resolved and the customer is satisfied.
Supervisory Responsibility: Coordinate the daily activities of the Office Assistants.
WMGLD provides an excellent salary & benefits package and is an EOE. Hourly range is $28.84 -$41.87.
