The Village of Swanton is looking for a community-oriented team leader for the position of Village Manager. The Village employs 36 talented and hard-working full-time employees. The Electric/Hydro, Water, Wastewater, Highway, Police, Fire and General Departments have a combined Annual Budget of over $11,950,000. The Village operates under a Management Form of Government and the Village Manager reports to the Village President and a 3-member Board of Trustees.
Associate’s Degree in Business or Engineering; or equivalent supervisory experience in a related field required. Experience in municipal management and knowledge of municipal electrical, water, wastewater and highway systems with a familiarity of local, Vermont and Federal governmental and regulatory procedures are preferred.
