Description

The Groveland Municipal Light Department is seeking to fill the position of Working Foreman.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of electric utility experience, including experience supervising line personnel for a Public Power utility.  Candidate must have a working knowledge of distribution voltages up to 13.8Kv in both overhead and underground construction, as well as some substation experience. Professional requirements include a verifiable First-class Lineworker status, a Massachusetts 1B Hoisting License, and a Massachusetts CDL Class B (minimum, Class A is preferred).

The Working Foreman reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the daily operation of the Linecrew.  Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:  plan and supervise the daily jobs of the line crew, ensure safety regulations compliance, plan and perform distribution system maintenance and upgrades, complete required reports, and be available for on call duty, including responding to emergencies within 30 minutes.  A strong working knowledge of  Microsoft Office is required.
