They will highlight how the new Prompt and Seasonal design compares with today’s Forward Capacity Market and Auction structure\, and what the changes could mean for capacity resource participation levels\, capacity requirements\, and consumer impacts. \n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Who Should Attend \n \n \n \n \n \n This event is recommended for General Managers and other Utility Leadership Roles\, Engineers\, Planners\, Power Supply Personnel and all those interested in this topic.  \n \n \n \n \n \n What to Expect\n \n \n \n \n \n \nPresentation by NEPOOL representatives\nAbility to learn and ask questions in a classroom environment\nTime for sharing and interactive roundtable discussion\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Presenters\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n David A. SUMMARY:2026 Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise
DESCRIPTION:2026 Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise \nJune 10\, 2026 (8:00 am – 3:00 pm)NEPPA Training Center\, 200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460\nNEPPA’s Annual Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise will be held Wednesday\, June 10th\, beginning at 8:00 am. This one-day workshop will allow utility representatives the opportunity to ‘game play’ in a realistic disaster scenario. Attendees will learn how national and local NEPPA Mutual Aid programs operate and participate in discussion about how these programs can be improved. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n “This tabletop exercise provided a realistic\, highly valuable simulation that validated NEPPA’s core response plan while highlighting critical operational gaps. The progressive injects successfully challenged our cross-departmental coordination\, confirming strong internal communication but revealing bottlenecks in external PR and vendor management delegation. Thanks to excellent facilitation and a constructive “hot wash” debrief\, we walked away with clear\, actionable next steps\, including updating our communication tree and refining specific scribe roles to better support the Incident Commander during a real crisis.” \n Kim Schneider\n Strategic Partnerships Director\, Flory Line Construction \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Who Should Attend \n \n \n \n \n \n \nGeneral Managers\nAssistant General Managers\nGeneral/Working Foreman/Lineworkers\nOperations Personnel\nEngineering Personnel\nMutual Aid Coordinators\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Agenda\nThis agenda is subject to change. \n\n\n\n8:00 am – 8:30 am\nCoffee and Registration\n\n\n8:30 am – 9:30 am\nMutual Aid Overview\n\n\n9:30 am – 9:45 am\nIntroductions\n\n\n9:45 am – 10:15 am\nExercise Overview/Scenario\n\n\n10:15 am – 10:30 am\nBreak\n\n\n10:30am – 12:00 pm\nTabletop Exercise\n\n\n12:00 pm – 1:00 am\nLunch and Presentation\n\n\n1:00 pm – 2:30 pm\nTabletop Exercise\n\n\n2:30 pm – 3:00 pm\nWrap-up\n\n\n3:00 pm\nAdjourn\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Facilitator\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Mike Hyland\, PE\n Executive Director\, Northeast Public Power Association \n Michael ‘Mike’ Hyland is currently the Executive Director of the Northeast Public Power Association (NEPPA)\, located in Littleton\, Massachusetts.
