SUMMARY:Public Utility Management Program (PUMP) Session II
DESCRIPTION:NEPPA is pleased to offer the Public Utility Management Program (PUMP) again in 2024.  The (PUMP) begins in April and ends in November. It features 6 days of in-person training sessions and two additional 1/2-day-virtual sessions\, The in-person sessions will be held on April 23 – 25 and October 29 – 31\, 2024 at the NEPPA Training Center (200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460).  Each of these 3-day session will include information on leadership challenges\, best practices\, knowledge/skill/behavior development\, and practical applications. One virtual sessions will be held on June 4th and September 24th 2024. Dan is a Certified First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. \nDan started in the electric meter department in the 1970’s and worked his way through the electric line department as a lineman/line foremen and his last position as the electric department superintendent. Some of Dan’s responsibilities included construction\, maintenance\, and safety of the electric line division. Dan continues to maintain his 1B/2A Mass. hoisting license and a Mass. DESCRIPTION:NEPPA is pleased to offer the Public Utility Management Program (PUMP) again in 2024.  The (PUMP) begins in April and ends in November. It features 6 days of in-person training sessions and two additional 1/2-day-virtual sessions\, The in-person sessions will be held on April 23 – 25 and October 29 – 31\, 2024 at the NEPPA Training Center (200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460).  Each of these 3-day session will include information on leadership challenges\, best practices\, knowledge/skill/behavior development\, and practical applications. One virtual sessions will be held on June 4th and September 24\, 2024. Mike took over the helm of NEPPA in May 2022 after a 40 year utility career that started inside a #6 fuel oil generation plant at Philadelphia Electric. \nPrior to his role at NEPPA\, Mike was the Energy & Technical Programs Manager for the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) in Hughesville\, Maryland\, and his main responsibility was the oversight of the Solar Interconnection and Electric Vehicle programs. \nBefore his stint at SMECO\, Mr. Hyland served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering Services at the American Public Power Association (APPA) in Washington DC for 24 years. In that position\, he was responsible for all the engineering\, safety\, cyber security\, reliability\, system planning\, mutual aid and operations for the associations 2000+ municipal utilities operating in the United States. \nMike is a Professional Engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia\, is co-inventor on three US Patents\, and now resides in Nashua\, NH. DESCRIPTION:NEPPA is pleased to offer the Public Utility Management Program (PUMP) again in 2024.  The (PUMP) begins in April and ends in November. It features 6 days of in-person training sessions and two additional 1/2-day-virtual sessions\, The in-person sessions will be held on April 23 – 25 and October 29 – 31\, 2024 at the NEPPA Training Center (200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460).  Each of these 3-day session will include information on leadership challenges\, best practices\, knowledge/skill/behavior development\, and practical applications. One virtual sessions will be held on June 4th and September 24\, 2024.
