DESCRIPTION:NEPPA is pleased to offer the Public Utility Management Program (PUMP) again in 2024.  The (PUMP) begins in April and ends in November. It features 6 days of in-person training sessions and two additional 1/2-day-virtual sessions\, The in-person sessions will be held on April 23 – 25 and October 29 – 31\, 2024 at the NEPPA Training Center (200 New Estate Road\, Littleton\, MA 01460).  Each of these 3-day session will include information on leadership challenges\, best practices\, knowledge/skill/behavior development\, and practical applications. One virtual sessions will be held on June 4th and September 24\, 2024. Before joining NEPPA\, Pete started as a lineman in May of 1984 with Green Mountain Power. Some of Dan’s responsibilities covered construction\, maintenance\, and safety of the electric line division.  Dan continues to maintain his  1B/2A Mass. hoisting license and a Mass. Class A Driving license. \nDan is a lifelong resident of Wakefield\, Ma where he lives with his wife Alayne of 39 years they have two adult children. \nHe says “It is a privilege  to continue to be involved with the public power industry in New England to give back any knowledge I’ve acquired over these many years.”\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Lou Gabriele\n					Technical & Safety Trainer\, Certified American Heart Association & Medic First Aid Trainer for First Aid\, CPR\, AED  \n					Lou Gabriele has been a technical and safety trainer with NEPPA for over 20 years. \nPrior to joining NEPPA\, Lou spent his 30+ year line career with Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS).  Prior to being merged with Green Mountain Power\, Central Vermont Public Service Corp. was the largest electricity supplier in Vermont. Its customer base covered 160\,000 people in 163 towns\, villages and cities in Vermont.\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Scott Larsen\n					Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Scott joined NEPPA in September 2020 and has 32 years of professional experience in the utility industry.  Scott retired from his role as the General Line Foreman for Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments in spring 2020. \nHis significant field experience coupled with his passion for safety has made him an excellent addition to NEPPA’s training team. \nWell known for his stellar work with NEPPA’s Lineworkers Rodeo\, Scott is also quite familiar with NEPPA Mutual Aid and has participated in Light Up Navajo.  In addition\, Scott serves as an LELWD Commissioner in Littleton\, MA where he resides.\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Dennis Regele\n					Technical & Safety Trainer\, Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor \n					Dennis has been a trainer for the Northeast Public Power Association since November 2018 and travels throughout the Northeast. \nDennis has a Bachelor’s of Science in Natural Science for Worcester State College\, is married and has 3 sons. \nPrior to joining NEPPA\, Dennis started his career in the utility industry in 1984 with Massachusetts Electric (now National Grid).  He worked his way up from an apprentice lineworker through crew leader and eventually as Line Supervisor and Safety Supervisor.  He then moved on to NSTAR (now Eversource) as a Field/Technical Trainer. \nDennis also spent time with Asplundh Utility Line construction as a Regional Safety Supervisor/Trainer and has served as an OSHA Outreach Trainer for the past 12 years. \nIn addition to training for NEPPA\, Dennis is also a part -time instructor at Quinsigamond Community College with the Energy Utility Program. \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Tim Richardson\n					P.E.\,Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Tim Richardson joined NEPPA in September of 2019 and has been an asset to the training team.  Tim has a long history working in the electric utility industry\, including as General Manager of Belmont Municipal Light Department from 1995 – 2007. \nMost recently\, Tim has worked as Principal of Fundy Power Services\, LLC and at Consulting Engineers Group prior to that. \nTim brings a wealth of both technical and safety expertise to the organization and applies his expertise of both in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-learn approach.\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Thomas (Tom) Succi\n					Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Tom has worked in metering in New England for the past 48 years as a meter technician\, instructor\, engineer and manager. He has created instructional programs and taught in the region for most of his career and also ran the meter apprentice training for many years at National Grid as a Principal Trainer. \nHe recently retired as the Supervisor of Meter Test and Engineering at United Illuminating and looks forward to continuing his career as an instructor. Prior to being merged with Green Mountain Power\, Central Vermont Public Service Corp. was the largest electricity supplier in Vermont. Its customer base covered 160\,000 people in 163 towns\, villages and cities in Vermont.\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Scott Larsen\n					Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Scott joined NEPPA in September 2020 and has 32 years of professional experience in the utility industry.  Scott retired from his role as the General Line Foreman for Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments in spring 2020. \nHis significant field experience coupled with his passion for safety has made him an excellent addition to NEPPA’s training team. \nWell known for his stellar work with NEPPA’s Lineworkers Rodeo\, Scott is also quite familiar with NEPPA Mutual Aid and has participated in Light Up Navajo.  In addition\, Scott serves as an LELWD Commissioner in Littleton\, MA where he resides.\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Dennis Regele\n					Technical & Safety Trainer\, Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor \n					Dennis has been a trainer for the Northeast Public Power Association since November 2018 and travels throughout the Northeast. \nDennis has a Bachelor’s of Science in Natural Science for Worcester State College\, is married and has 3 sons. \nPrior to joining NEPPA\, Dennis started his career in the utility industry in 1984 with Massachusetts Electric (now National Grid).  He worked his way up from an apprentice lineworker through crew leader and eventually as Line Supervisor and Safety Supervisor.  He then moved on to NSTAR (now Eversource) as a Field/Technical Trainer. \nDennis also spent time with Asplundh Utility Line construction as a Regional Safety Supervisor/Trainer and has served as an OSHA Outreach Trainer for the past 12 years. \nIn addition to training for NEPPA\, Dennis is also a part -time instructor at Quinsigamond Community College with the Energy Utility Program. \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Tim Richardson\n					P.E.\,Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Tim Richardson joined NEPPA in September of 2019 and has been an asset to the training team.  Tim has a long history working in the electric utility industry\, including as General Manager of Belmont Municipal Light Department from 1995 – 2007. \nMost recently\, Tim has worked as Principal of Fundy Power Services\, LLC and at Consulting Engineers Group prior to that. \nTim brings a wealth of both technical and safety expertise to the organization and applies his expertise of both in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-learn approach. \n \n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Thomas (Tom) Succi\n					Technical & Safety Trainer \n					Tom has worked in metering in New England for the past 48 years as a meter technician\, instructor\, engineer and manager. He has created instructional programs and taught in the region for most of his career and also ran the meter apprentice training for many years at National Grid as a Principal Trainer. \nHe recently retired as the Supervisor of Meter Test and Engineering at United Illuminating and looks forward to continuing his career as an instructor. Tom holds a BS and an AS in Engineering Technology as well as an advanced certificate in Management from WPI. \nTom and his wife Arlene currently reside in Connecticut.

He is a recognized expert in safety and OSHA compliance. \nIn his role of Director of Training\, he is responsible for development and quality of safety & technical programs. He also oversees the line-workers’ school and teaches utility management and supervision\, electronic controls and power-line operation programs. \nRecognized as an industry leader and expert Steve has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Northeast Public Power Association and been recognized by the Maine State Legislature for his previous 30 Years of Distinguished Service. Before joining NEPPA\, Pete started as a lineman in May of 1984 with Green Mountain Power. Then he moved over to Burlington Electric in 2002 where he was working as a line foreman. \nPete has an Associate’s degree of applied science in Power Technology and has his Mass. 1B/2A Hoisting License. \nPete currently lives in Winooski\, VT and has been married to his wife\, Mary Ann\, for the past 30 years. They have two children together\, Nathan and Natalie. Some of Dan’s responsibilities covered construction\, maintenance\, and safety of the electric line division.  Dan continues to maintain his  1B/2A Mass. hoisting license and a Mass.
