NEPPA is pleased to partner with Blue-U Defense Seminars and offer this highly engaging and interactive Active Shooter & Workplace Violence: Understanding Policy and Procedure’s Critical Role in Prevention Seminar, followed by a facilitated roundtable discussion.

Due to the emergency COVID-19 pandemic response, this session has been rescheduled and will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 beginning at 9:00 am at NEPPA’s Training Center (200 New Estate Road, Littleton, MA).

Who Should Attend

This seminar is designed for anyone involved in or impacted by safety preparedness policies and procedures, including:

  • General Managers
  • Occupational Safety & Health Professionals
  • Crew Leaders
  • General Foremen
  • Office Managers
  • Customer Service Representatives
  • Metering & Field Personnel

Program Overview

Very few organizations have effective and practical policy and procedure in place for an incident of violence or active shooter incident. For many, policies and procedures look great on paper, however, when you examine what’s expected of employees it’s simply not possible to carry out under the circumstances of an incident.

Policy and procedure is an area where limitation of vulnerability to organizational liability is critical.

This seminar brings a very high-level understanding to policy and procedure and its real effectiveness in what it’s designed to accomplish.

The facilitated Roundtable will be an open discussion about what other policies and procedures are being used, what resources are available, and what are best practices to follow.
