Crew Leadership is offer every other year, and will be offered again in 2026.
Crew Leadership Program is designed to build upon existing leadership skills to work more effectively and efficiently in the field, while meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
In addition to in-class lecture, the Crew Leadership Program includes a final exam to demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of the course content.
Upon successful completion of the Program, students are awarded a Certificate of Completion.

These objectives serve as a framework for a comprehensive crew leadership course that addresses various aspects of leadership within the utility.
The Crew Leadership Program is designed to build upon learning concepts in the Apprentice Lineworker and Advanced Lineworker Programs.
The ideal participant has at least 3 – 5 years experience working in the field.

Director of Safety & Training
Anthony has over 40 years of Electrical experience and 25 years of Electric Utility experience. Started out as a Lineworker, moved to the Substation Division as a Lead Substation Technician. Proficient in relay testing, transformer testing, circuit breaker testing, and all aspects of wiring in overhead, underground, metering, and substations.
Anthony is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer, and OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer

Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), Trainer
Mike joined NEPPA as part of the training team in April 2021.
Mike is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) with 38 years of experience in all aspects of electric and gas utility operations, as well as contractor management, employee health and safety, and utility technical training, particularly in underground distribution and cable splicing.
Mike holds both the OSHA 30-hour General Industry and 20-hour Leadership Certifications.
As a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a teaching degree, Mike’s background and utility technical training experience strengthens NEPPA’s capacity to provide top-tier training.
