Description
Templeton Municipal Light and Water is seeking candidates to fill the position of Electric Utility Groundman. A Groundman performs all groundwork necessary for the operation, maintenance and repair of Templeton’s 13.8 kV electric distribution system which includes overhead and underground plant as well as a distribution substation.
Requirements for this position include:
- High school diploma or GED
-mechanical aptitude
-ability to work outdoors for extended periods in inclement weather and at heights
-ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
-be willing to relocate within 10 miles of TMLP office within 6 months from date of hire
-successfully complete Department designated schooling and advance to first class power lineman subject to standby duty for power outages and other emergencies
-Massachusetts driver’s license (CDL Class A preferred)
-obtain Massachusetts Hoisting License classes 1B and 2A within 6 months from date of hire
-ability to obtain DOT medical certificate
