Job Description:

This Operational Technology Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  1. Monitor and maintain the industrial controls network at a power plant from an applications and system configuration and integration aspect. Analyze network system practices and recommend improvements to techniques, security, programs, equipment, and procedures. Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies such as FERC and NERC.
  2. Develop, troubleshoot and repair plant operation PLC programming code using GE Proficy and Allen Bradley RSLogix PLC software applications.
  3. Prepare and maintain detailed records on the operation, repair, and maintenance of the industrial controls network equipment and software applications.
  4. Generate and update system logic diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and other plant systems’ drawings using CAD software.
  5. Develop technical specifications for the procurement of industrial controls systems, and other related hardware to support plant operations.
  6. Maintain, and update SCADA applications using GE Proficy and Rockwell HMI software to support the operation and maintenance of the plant.
  7. Work closely with the PPD Instrumentation & Controls/Mechanical Maintenance group to plan, implement, troubleshoot and repair network infrastructure including PLCs, power supplies, analog and discrete modules, transmitters (flow, temp, and pressure), and other field‑related devices.
  8. Plan, implement, troubleshoot, and repair network infrastructure, physical and virtual machines, software applications, security equipment, network equipment, and other computer systems.
  9. Develop redundant systems, disaster recovery plans, along with archiving, backup, and restoring procedures as related to plant operations.
  10. Interface well with outside consultants to implement and update software applications, network equipment, communication protocols, and service agreements.

Qualifications:

 A Bachelor of Science Degree in a Computer Technology related field is

  • Experience with modern Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Network Switches, PLC software, CAD Software, and Virtualization technologies are
  • A minimum of 5 years of Operational Technology experience is required
  • The successful candidate will also be required to carry a cell phone 24 hours per day, seven days per
  • A valid Driver's License is

Salary range $101,00 - $127,000, commensurate with experience.
