NEPPA Webinar Series
NEPPA and Collaborative Learning, Inc. have partnered to offer a series of four 1-hour webinars to help NEPPA members better understand regulatory requirements, leadership skills, a changing workforce, and emerging technologies in the utility industry.
The NEPPA Webinar Series is being offered as part of NEPPA’s Public Utility Management Program (PUMP). Participation in at least two of four webinars is expected as part of completing PUMP.
Reliability is one of the most important attributes of electric utility distribution systems. Today’s regulators, customers, and prospective customers are more astute in understanding how to measure reliability and what to look for when it comes to “Best Practices” that support reliable systems and operations. Public Power providers typically outperform their electric cooperative and investor-owned peers when it comes to reliability, but they must be diligent in improving both the prevention of service interruptions and responsiveness when interruptions occur.
The 1-Hour Improving the Reliability of Your Distribution System Webinar will be held Thursday, September 3rd beginning at 11:00 am and covers the following:
- Reliability Defined
- Customer Expectations for Reliability
- Reliability Measurement
- Reliability Improvement Practices
This webinar will explore at a high level, reliability from the perspective of regulators, customers, and utility employees, with a focus on how to improve it.
Participants will deepen their understanding of the indices that are used to measure reliability, set performance targets, and identify performance improvement initiatives. They will also learn how to build an organizational “culture” that supports a reliable infrastructure, operation, and customer service.
Cancellations are accepted until Thursday, August 20, 2020. Substitutions may be made at any time.
