The Position:

Reporting to the Energy Solutions Executive, the Energy Solutions Analyst is responsible for tasks related to the planning, tracking, reporting and evaluation of the energy efficiency programs. In addition, this role supports the Energy Solutions team by maintaining and ensuring data integrity, tracking system accuracy, and providing accurate and timely reporting and information about business performance to support the achievement of established goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that present key metrics, financial, savings and cost effectiveness results for presentation to the NHEC management, State regulators and ISO New England.  Ensure reporting is compliant with NHEC procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit annual SOI and qualification package to ISO NE according to deadlines.
  • Prepare data responses to PUC Commission, Dept of Energy, EIA, Stakeholder, evaluation contractors etc. for NHEC and NHSaves programs as requested.
  • Work with Energy Solutions staff to identify and prioritize data, reporting and information needs, and identify and develop recommendations and actionable steps that will improve processes, improve workflows and ensure consistency.
  • Define objectives, develop, implement, and effectively communicate analysis that identify meaningful trends and opportunities to use in ongoing program management and inputs for developing annual program plans.
  • Reconcile accounting and tracking system to insure completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Monitor general ledger expense postings and prepare correcting journal entries as needed
  • Administer residential and commercial loan set up and monthly reconciliation of loan fund accounts.
  • Assist with management of the energy efficiency benefit cost model and maintain tracking system assumptions to incorporate the most recent technical reference manual values and other reporting values.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related discipline plus 1 year of relevant experience is required, or five years equivalent experience, in total, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Have an inquisitive, open mind – someone who is interested in finding creative solutions to solve member concerns and deliver energy solutions in a way that meets or exceeds member expectations.
  • Ability to interpret energy efficiency, demand response, renewable technologies, beneficial electrification services and understand their application.
  • Have a solid understanding of financial principals.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize spreadsheets using Excel, in addition to experience with other Microsoft Office products.

Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions, occasional overtime may be required. Positions eligible for a hybrid work schedule will be dependent upon management approval & workload, however on-site office work in the Plymouth, NH area will be required.

Some day-to-day travel within the utility system required. Occasional overnight travel. Extra hours when necessary, during evenings and weekends.

Assistance with power restoration efforts is required of all employees. It may be required during regular business hours that employees will be assigned functions to support power restoration and for some employees that may be different from their normal duties. In addition, such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays which may involve considerable extra hours. To meet this working condition, all employees are required to provide a personal phone number where they may be reached after hours. This number will only be used for internal purposes.

Compensation:

The targeted salary range for this position is $79,609.12- $90,115.04. with anticipated pay for new hires between the entry and midpoint of this range and could vary above and below the listed range. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of NHEC’s total compensation package for employees.
