OSHA 10 Plus T&D 
November 6 -7 (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) | NEPPA Training Center
This is a 2-day course with the goal to instill a heightened awareness of the hazards associated with electric utility work and the ability to understand control measures to avoid injuries.
Who Should Attend
This course is recommended for:
- New Hires
- Lineworkers, Operations or Field Personnel
- Office Managers & Staff
- Customer Service
- Engineers
- An employee with little or no introduction to OSHA and its requirements
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Program Overview
Each participant will be given an OSHA 10-Hour Card after successful completion.
- Introduction to OSHA
– General Duty Clause
– Employee rights and multi-employer workplaces
– Record keeping
– Penalties & citations
– Competent person requirements
– OSHA Resources - Training & qualification requirements
- Health hazards including Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazardous Communications, Noise Hazards, and Silica Hazards.
- Hand tools and portable generators
- Hazards including equipment and Trenching
- Fall protection and ladders
- Electrical hazards, Personal Protective Equipment, Conduction effective job briefings
- Enclosed Space vs. Confined Space and Underground System Safety including rescue systems
- Working on or near exposed energized parts
- Struck-by hazards: Pole setting and tower installations
- De-energizing lines and equipment, and grounding for protection
- Substation safety
- Gradient potential hazards

Instructor
Anthony Calascibetta, CUSP
Director of Safety and Training
Anthony is NEPPA’s Director of Safety & Training. He has 40 years of Electrical experience and 25 years of Electric Utility experience. Starting out as a Lineworker, he moved to the Substation Division as a Lead Substation Technician.
He is proficient in relay testing, transformer testing, circuit breaker testing, and all aspects of wiring in overhead, underground, metering, and substations.
Anthony is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer, and OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.
