The North Attleborough Electric Department, a municipal electric utility with approximately 13,000 customer meters, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of:
POSITION TITLE: 3rd Class Lineman
FULL TIME – 40 hours per week
IBEW Local 104-Unit B
Hourly Wage – $33.08
The North Attleborough Electric Department is seeking a 3rd Class Lineman. The successful candidate will be trained to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment. Perform related duties associated with the construction, operation, and maintenance of that portion of the overhead and underground electric distribution system that is energized at secondary voltages. Other duties to include: Deliver materials, tools and personnel to and from job sites. Maintain work area, electric vehicles, tools, and equipment. Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain compliance with all confined space regulations. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; this is an entry level positon that requires successful completion of a lineman apprenticeship program. Certifications that must be maintained include CDL, First Aid/CPR and Hoisting. Position includes “on call” standby duty with a thirty (30) minute required travel time (by automobile) to the NAED Operations Center.
