Description
The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department is seeking a qualified applicant for the full-time position of Apprentice Line Worker, a Second-Class or First-Class Line Worker.
The position’s starting salary is classified in accordance with the Line Worker Job/Wage Classification Schedule of the individual employment agreements between our Line Workers and the Town of Wolfeboro.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs maintenance, construction, and repair activities associated with the operations of an overhead and underground electric distribution system. Apprentice Line Workers work under the direct supervision of Lead Line Worker and/or designated Crew Leader.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduate with an emphasis on relevant technical/vocational studies.
- Successful completion of formal Line Worker training program.
- Candidates must live (or be willing to relocate) within a 30-minute drive to the Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department’s shop located at 133 Middleton Road, Wolfeboro, NH.
- Candidates must be available to be “on-call” for overtime work during emergency and/or storm events. This may include extended working hours during nights, weekends, and holidays.
