The Pascoag Utility District, founded in 1887, is a consumer owned, not-for-profit utility providing electricity to the Villages of Pascoag and Harrisville and water service to the Village of Pascoag.
The District is currently recruiting for a career minded individual to join our Electric Department as a Utility Worker, with a potential career path to First Class Line worker.
A Utility Worker is an entry-level position in which the main function is to assist line workers with building and maintaining the District’s electrical infrastructure and making repairs during emergencies. Other related duties may include but are not limited to AMI meter installation, meter reading, and meter disconnects as assigned. The District is looking for an all-around handyperson who is mechanically inclined.
This position also requires extensive walking, heavy lifting, and outdoor work in all kinds of weather, day, and night, on a year-round basis. The successful candidate may be called upon during storms and emergencies to assist in electric or water service restoration.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED. A Commercial Driver’s License B (CDL) must be obtained within 18 months of hire. Must reside within 20 minutes of the District’s office.

Must pass an initial drug test and participate in random drug testing program. Candidate must also pass a background check.
