The Town of Danvers welcomes applicants for the full-time, benefited positions within its Electrical Engineering Division for the following:
- Systems Engineer
- Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer
- Electrical Distribution Engineer
- Electrical Engineer

The Town of Danvers is hiring two Electrical Engineer positions.
The Electric Division is constantly making reliability improvements to the grid with new equipment, wire, and poles to avoid failure from aging infrastructure. We have a dedicated staff of engineers, lineworkers, and technicians to make sure the lights stay on, but if they do go out we get them back on as quickly as possible!
The Town of Danvers has upcoming projects for these positions which may include the following:
- Building two new substations
- Working with ISO-NE on 115kV interconnection to get ready for future load growth
- Working on various carbon-free generation projects and interconnections
- Designing and building new circuits to help promote responsible electrification including electric vehicle and heat pump adoption
- Working on various resiliency projects including large capacity battery storage

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.
These are union positions that work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Electrical Engineer pay scale starts at $45.54 hourly with a max step of $57.39 hourly plus union bargained annual stipend of 87.5 hours.
- Electrical Distribution Engineer pay scale starts at $51.09 hourly with a max step of $62.51 hourly plus union bargained annual stipend of 87.5 hours.
- Senior Electric Distribution Engineer pay scale starts at $53.12 hourly with a max step of $67.59 hourly plus union bargained annual stipend of 87.5 hours.
- Systems Engineer pay scale starts at $62.18 hourly, with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $80.66 hourly plus union bargained annual stipend of 87.5 hours.
