Senior Accounting Clerk | Business Division 

 The Town of Danvers welcomes applicants for the full-time, benefited position of Senior Accounting Clerk for the Business Division. The Senior Accounting Clerk serves as the primary contact for processing customer utility payments and general account inquiries.

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, education, volunteerism, and transferrable skills as qualifying, unless otherwise designated as required. Desired qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred, 1-3 years of progressively responsible related accounts receivable, data processing, customer service, and/or office and clerical experience. Advanced understanding of computers, including Microsoft Suite. Massachusetts driver’s license required. Please see job description attached.

This position works 35 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursdays 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – Noon.  Union position (grade 3) pay scale starting at $25.31 hourly with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $32.06. Excellent benefits including health, dental and vision insurance plans, participation in the Town’s retirement plan, Town match to 457 plan, and paid time off.
